Iconic tree falls in storm with calls to save it for memorial
Locals have shared fond memories of the tree, but also concerns for what will happen to the branches

A beloved tree in an East London park has been cut down, causing an outpouring of disappointment from residents.
A stunning eucalyptus tree in Lloyd Park was blown down in the storms at the beginning of this week, leaving many locals very sad at the loss.
People have taken to Facebook to share their fond memories of the tree, and have highlighted concerns about what will happen to the branches.
